Photoshop 301: Advanced

Prerequisites:
Students enrolling in Photoshop 301: Advanced must have:

1. Completed Illuminate Workshops Photoshop 101 and 201, or
2. A minimum one year using the full version of Photoshop on a regular basis.
3. A working copy of Photoshop CS3, CS4 or CS5* installed on their own computer
4. Camera Raw images to work with.

* Photoshop versions earlier than CS3 or Photoshop Elements will not be covered in this class.

This class continues to build on the material taught in PS 101 and 201. Students will learn professional-level techniques for processing digital photographs through a working knowledge of the following:

• Total color management.
• Raw file processing using Adobe Camera Raw and Bridge.
• Color spaces and bit depth.
• Advanced Layers and Masks..
• Mastering Curves for tone and color adjustments.
• Advanced sharpening and noise reduction techniques.
• HDR and Panoramic compositing.
• Batch processing and automation using Actions.
• Preparing images for fine art printing.
